Wedding Photography Brochure

March 17th, 2008 by Rhiannon at 11:04 am

We just finished designing our brochure for the Love & Basketball bridal show with the Bakersfield Jam (Sunday, March 30 from 1-4 pm). We love how it looks and cannot wait to see the finished product! Here’s a sneak-peek from a section of it. It features two of our favorite images from Anthony & Mary’s wedding last April. And the quote is a perfect compliment to these great photos. If you want to attend the wedding show we still have extra tickets to give out. Contact us.

Jeremy & Renee’s Engagement Session

March 15th, 2008 by Rhiannon at 5:32 pm

On January 19 we took engagement photos for Jeremy & Renee. They were a lot of fun to work with and we can’t wait to do their wedding in April. Here are some of our favorites from their session. I’m posting two versions of my favorite image because I can’t decide which I like better. I can relate to clients who tell us they can’t narrow their list of favorites down and end up getting a couple versions of the same image. (Sigh…the pros and cons of variety…) Enjoy the variety of style and feel of this session!

Playing with Katie: A Fun & Unique Child Photography Session

March 15th, 2008 by Rhiannon at 3:39 pm

Our daughter is 17 months old and loves going to the park. She especially loves swinging on the swings! I’ve been playing around with different camera angles and crops. She giggles at her silly mommy laying on her back or standing on the neighboring swing playing peek-a-boo. We’re big fans of contemporary, fun, fresh and unique images. Even when we work with families who just want a nice portrait we take some time out to try new and creative things. (And we love to hear the “oooh” and “wow!” from clients who discover just how much they love our unique blend of artistic styles!) If you are looking for something different we’d love to set up a consultation with you. We hope to hear from you soon!

Breaking The Rules of Engagement

March 7th, 2008 by Alex at 2:42 am

We don’t believe there are rules for engagement photos. But if there are, we had a blast breaking them with Jose & Noelia! With all our couples we try new poses, new locations, new angles, etc. But with such a fun and uniquely different couple we were so energized! We took time out to plan their session to get exactly the look and feel they wanted. We took these photos in December on private land where Jose grew up. Here are a few of our favorites from their session.

Solorzano Photography is on a new host. In the future we will be able to expand our online services offered via our website. We will keep you posted on whats to come.

In addition to our new host, Solorzano Photography can also be found under ContemporaryWeddingPhotos.com. Just another way you can find us on the web in case you forget how many “o”s we have in our name.

Our new website

Out with the old:
Our old website

and in with the new!

The old site design has served us well (since early 2006!) but we wanted a more visual site — one with less words and more of our photography.
