Baby Hiram

October 14th, 2008 by Rhiannon at 3:56 pm

Recently we attended the baptism of baby Hiram (the third!) -the son of our long-time friend, Hiram & his wife Anna.  They live in Las Vegas so it was so nice to spend time with them and meet their precious little son!  Baby Hiram was about 2 months old -so we were anxious to meet the little guy.  After his baptism, we went over to his grandparents’ house for a fantastic party!  We just had to set up our studio lighting and backdrops to get some quick pictures of baby Hiram and his family.  Here are some of our favorites -they’re all in Sepia, I guess I am just favoring Sepia today:

Baby Hiram with his paternal grandparents & his mommy & daddy:

Proud new parents:

Joyous new grandparents:

I love sleeping baby shots & I love that he still slept with his little rump up higher than the rest of his body…

Congratulations Hiram Jr. & Anna!  Baby Hiram is an adorable little guy.  We hope to see you all again soon.

Welcome Baby Zane!

This Friday we had the great joy of photographing an adorable newborn baby boy, Zane.  He was an anniversary gift to his parents who’s wedding we covered last September.  We love it when our past couples come back with their new additions!  It just confirms what I think, “We have the best job in the world!”  -Seriously, how cool is it to go to weddings all the time, bond with amazing couples and celebrate with them when they start having children?!!!

Here are some photos from our session with the little guy and a famous shot from his mommy & daddy’s wedding last year!

Here’s a look back at Chris & Jasmine’s wedding:

And now on to the apple of their eye…!

Here’s a close up in Black & White from the one above…I love his little hands.

I may be wrong, but I am going to bet this will be his mommy’s favorite!

This one just cracks me up!

Jasmine says he always has his hands up on his face like this and we caught it!

We tried to get some of baby Zane on his belly with his little bare butt up, but he’s a strong 2 week-old baby and didn’t care to stay that way.  So here’s a close up, since he was flashing us a bit here! LOL

The Happiest Place on Earth!

September 23rd, 2008 by Rhiannon at 4:29 pm

Alex & I recently had the great pleasure of taking Jesse & Nerida’s engagement photos at Disneyland! They are such a fun & happy couple -they were a blast to work with! We can’t wait to design their Guest Book Album (a fun guest book we offer that features your engagement photos).

This first image is FANTASTIC! Alex did such a great job with it! Since I am pregnant I could not go on this ride with them, but Alex obviously had it covered…

I’ve felt dizzy enough this pregnancy- so I chose to take pictures of Nerida & Jesse from the side-lines. I got a shot of Alex working his magic from another Tea Cup!

This is a fun one I set up with Jesse. I told him to wait for our signal and then to run up to Nerida & surprise her with a big kiss! I just love the look on her face!!! We all laughed for a long time afterward.

Don’t you just love her ring?

Nerida just had to have one of her giving Jesse a piggy-back ride. I told you they’re fun!

We can’t wait to do their wedding in March!

Congratulations to John & Carolann

September 23rd, 2008 by Rhiannon at 3:39 pm

John & Carolann had a very touching ceremony at their church, Life Journey Christian Church followed by a traditional cake & punch reception with all their friends, family & church family. Later that evening they had an intimate reception celebration with their family and closest friends at the beautiful Bell Tower.

We took John & Carolann for a walk around Truxtun Avenue for some fun shots. We ended with gorgeous images in front of Rabobank Arena just minutes before sunset -our favorite lighting!

As usual it was hard to choose just a few images to share with everyone on our blog. (Honestly it’s nearly painful trying to narrow it down!) So here are some of my absolute favorites! Enjoy!

This image is truly one of my favorite flower-girl shots we have ever taken. This little girl was very aware of Alex and me the whole day and wasn’t too happy about having her picture taken. Even though Alex took this from the back of the church, she noticed him. I love that she was eating M&M’s during the ceremony!

I love this picture of Carolann blowing bubbles with one of her smaller guests! Bubbles always look great in images…

After we did the more “traditional” family portraits I had Carolann sit in this chair and told her two sons to surprise her with a kiss on each cheek! This is my favorite one we got. It’s just so sweet and fun! (And when we had Carolann over to view her images she loved it too! -what mother wouldn’t?)

One of the gorgeous shots we got just before sunset! We took several beautiful ones with the golden light of the setting sun on them, but for a few fun ones we shot into the sun to catch these awesome sun-flares! (No Photoshop was required for this! It was “nature made perfect!”)

This last one was just before we left for the evening. You really need to see it large to fully appreciate it -but even this small it’s great. I love when Alex gets down low for these images and catches the look of the room.

Congratulations Jose & Noelia!

Jose & Noelia’s “Day of the Dead” themed wedding tops our list for “Most Unique Weddings.” We had been looking forward to photographing their wedding for a year and a half -and it was anything but a disappointment!

Jose & Noelia exchanged vows in front of 350+ family members and friends (and several members of the press!) at the Union Cemetery.

As usual it’s hard to pick our favorite images to share on our blog. Here are a few great images that capture their day.

Congratulations to Hailey and Heidi

July 25th, 2008 by Alex at 1:22 am

Hailey and Heidi were married at the Coco Palms in Pomona, California. Awesome views overlooking the Inland Empire and Cal Poly Pomona. It was a Pacific Islander themed wedding (Hailey is from the island of Palau) and everyone wore festive tropical attire. Here are a few images from the evening.

A hilarious photo of Heidi as they walked back down the aisle. She wasn’t giving anyone “the finger” (she was just brushing a stray hair away while holding her bouquet!). We showed her this photo in the back of the camera during the reception and she got a great laugh. Before the night was over we shared this one with many guests.
